I Need Some Cheap Boots for the Campout

posted on 9 July 2011

The weather forecast isn't looking too good for the weekend camp. I'm going to have to get myself some cheap boots for the trip - cheap because it's not like I need to wear boots at any other time! However, if the camping experience is good, we may be doing more of these (I hope so) - so those boots may come in handy. I do know that if you get your feet wet on such a trip, it can make you feel miserable, so I'll need to make sure the boots are waterproof. Keep your feet dry, and you'll be nice and comfortable. There's not too many tumble dryers out in the forest one can use, so also keeping all of your kit dry is essential to comfort. That's what I learnt in the army cades - I hope I can use some of those skills for the up and coming weekend.

Freshwater pearl jewellery includes necklaces which come in a wide variety of styles. The Bib consists of several strands of smaller pearls of varying lengths worn together to give the impression of a bib. A collar is again multiple strands but worn high up on the neck – sometimes called a dog collar. This was popular in Victorian times. A choker is similar to a collar but worn lower on the neck and 14 – 16 inches in length. The Princess is the classic length for a pearl necklace and sits just below the neckline – usually 17-18 inches long. A matinee necklace can be worn for semi-formal occasions and is 20-24 inches long. The Opera length (30-36 inches) is normally worn with evening dresses in its full length. It can be doubled up for less formal wear. Finally the Rope is the longest style – over 36 inches long and can be worn doubled or trebled.
